Objective 1

1) Analyze attitudes from the Asthma Toolkit Program implementation process with Navajo/Hopi families. 2) Discuss the protocols and culturally appropriate asthma action plan that supports the ATS diagnosis and management criteria for childhood asthma. 3) Examine the diagnostic tools used in the outpatient clinics including handheld spirometry and a comprehensive Asthma Education program using Iggy and the Inhalers materials.

Purpose/Goal of this activity

This year, our goal is to help navigate you through all the changes that are here, and that are coming in Respiratory Care. This will help you avoid pitfalls or going down dead end paths that only take up your time and money. Change is coming, and with it comes new things to be done, but also it brings a bunch of new opportunities for respiratory therapists.
